In the Great Commission, Christ is clear that we are to GO intentionally! As we are going, we touch the lives of others where the Truth is shared. Through the power of Christ, accepting Truth results in Changed Hearts.
We are a mission minded church who continues to seek opportunities for missions locally and abroad. We participate financially by designating 20% of our budget for missions and evangelism, as well as, contributing to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
We participate physically by going. Following are some events that are scheduled for GVBC:
Quartzsite Misisons - On January 21, we took 27 missionaries to Quartzsite, AZ to "man" prayer tents and canvas neighborhoods in one of the largest stone/rock shows on the west coast.
Super Bowl Bash! - We had a BIG BIG screen, free food, great company and a special half-time video presentation (Power to Win) open to the community.
Yard FREE - Our youth just want to love on the community. They are advertising a "Yard Sale", but when the community comes to shop - there is no charge or donation accepted. No strings attached - just loving Golden Valley folks.
Easter - This past Easter season, we performed a dramatic musical representation, "The Risen Christ", for the community. We were blessed to have our service at Black Mountain School on Resurrection Sunday with over 300 in attendance!
Laughlin River Run - This is like "Bike Week" on the west coast! We participate by assisting a sister church in Bullhead City serve breakfast to those coming to our area. We will also be involved in "street witnessing" throughout the day.
Golden Valley Days - Being part of the community events, meeting people where they are...
Hallelujah Festival - A safe alternative to Halloween. We provide hay rides, face painting, games, contests, candy and the love of Christ. The entire community is invited.
Thanksgiving / Christmas Baskets - We have been blessed personally, and especially want to share with those in need during the holiday season.
Christmas Shoebox - We participate in Operation Christmas Child each year. What a blessing to give children all over the world gifts of love and GOD'S WORD!
Angel Tree - a unique way to serve the families of those who have been incarcerated.
Puppet Ministry - We will be taking our puppet team to Peach Springs to present a special message to the children of that community.
